Bowen Technique
The Bowen technique is a soft tissue remedial therapy, named after its innovator Tom Bowen.
The technique involves the therapist using fingers or thumbs to move over muscle, ligament tendon and fascia in various parts of the body.
Bowen Therapy is a gentle, effective treatment that may help with a range of conditions including back pain, neck and shoulder tension, sciatica, sports injuries, frozen shoulder, migraines, stress, and general muscular discomfort. It also works to stimulate the lymphatic system, encouraging natural drainage, reducing fluid retention and promoting an overall sense of wellbeing and balance.
I offer a range of treatments from my own dedicated treatment room in Torquay, welcoming clients from Paignton, Brixham, and the surrounding areas. I am also within walking distance of two train stations, with clients travelling from Exeter and further afield.
If you have any questions or would like to book an appointment, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
The work is very subtle, relaxing and gentle involving no hard or prolonged pressure. During a session the client will lie on a therapy table or bed, although the work can be effectively carried out with the client in a chair.
